The hostel which is established in 1937 and expanded in 1967 is situated in a beautiful scenery in the Southern part of the city Aabenraa.
The buildings and facilities are continuously being maintained so that they appear nice and appealing with some of the original surroundings.
The hostel is a part of the association Danhostel and is classified with 3 stars.
In our hostel we have an informal and relaxed atmosphere which emphasises the DANHOSTEL slogan "More time for nice experiences". We, and not least our guests appreciate the non stressful environment. For even though our guests are different they all have a common wish: A stay with time to get good memories and experiences with our families, friends, colleagues, class mates and perhaps other guests.

The city Aabenraa is located in a wide valley surrounded by the inlet, hills and forests. From ancient time fishing, trade and navigation has been the main trade of the town.
In Aabenraa you find a well preserved and cosy environment with a nice and the longest walking street in Denmark.
Not far from Aabenraa you still find a well preserved piece of Hærvejen (Army road) with many relics of antiquity.
Aabenraa is also an ideal place for studies of the borderland's history, since the national achieve of the Southern Denmark is placed here.
From the hostel you have a grand view of the town and inlet.
